The Finished Book Tag

Do you keep a list of the books you’ve read?: I do, I have a notebook specifically for finished reads. It’s a list with a page for each month. (I restarted at the start of the year, and didn’t record for a few weeks, so may have read more books than I remembered)

If you record statistics, which ones do you record?: I don’t think I understand this question… lol!

Do you give star ratings for books and if so, what do you score books out of and how do you come about this score?: Yes, I have a five star rating system, but use half markings too. 5 and 10 are universal systems so I guess I just picked one?

Do you review books?: I do review books, but not many. A book has to really stand out, or have a significant reasoning for me to write an independent review of a book for my blog. I want to do more mini reviews in my posts.

Where do you put your finished books?: The majority of my reads are from the library or thrift store. Library obviously get returned, and thrift store finds usually get passed onto friends or put into book swaps. I have only one shelf that I have for finished books, so a book has to have quite an impact for me to keep!

-Do you have any other rituals for when you’ve finished reading?: Mm, writing them into my notebooks and adding them to my monthly wrap ups with their mini reviews!

I have many posts in my drafts as the world is spending more time indoors giving me lots of spare time. Little tags like this are a great distraction, so I tag anyone reading!

  1. I am the same exact way when it comes to keeping books! I just pass them on, except for a select few that I keep because I love them so much!!
